The Room Where It Happens

Engineering Serendipity in Crypto + AI + more

57 MAIDEN

I know, I know, I’m doubling up with the newsletter this week, but I’m excited to share this update.

My most ambitious ‘Athletes and Alternative Assets’ was curated as an exclusive brunch experience that merged world-class sports, global investment, and the energy of one of the world’s most dynamic settings, Abu Dhabi. Guests included athletes, investors, owners, and executives, gathered in an atmosphere crafted for genuine connection. And, special thanks to my cohosts, longtime friend Aaron Steinberg, and Michel Sarfati.

And, all of our guests want to learn and invest in Crypto x AI.

Abu Dhabi was the star

Our star studded panel included Kai Cunningham (Limited Ventures), 10 year NBA veteran Roger Mason Jr, and former personal aide to President Obama Reggie Love,

Kai has invested with and closed equity deals for over 100 athletes such as 2x NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Danny Green, Breanna Stewart, among others. Select investments include Airbnb, Coinbase, Draftkings, Zilch, Status Pro, and minority investments into the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets & the Sacramento Kings.

Roger is a former NBA pro, and former president of the NBA Players Association with deep investing ties in the region.

Reggie is the author of the New York Times Best Seller, Power Forward, My Presidential Education, which is a collection of stories and principles learned during his time working for President Obama and being a captain for the all-time most winning NCAA coach, Mike Krzyzewski at Duke University.

After the brunch, all attendees were offered the special opportunity: train or shoot around with prolific NBA shooting coach Adam Harrington. (Adam has worked with Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki, James Harden, Sabrina Ionescu, Jimmy Butler, and others.)
